User blog:SushiTries/Tips on building farms

From Growtopia Wiki

Have you ever hated that the farms you build looks ugly like a donkey and is very hard to get up and down? Fear not! Sushi here is gonna help you! Please note that these are based on personal researches and contain a healthy amount of opinions.

First when creating a farm world, you need a cleared world, meaning removing all dirt, cave background and stone in a world. This helps to create space for you to build. If you feel tired of clearing a world, you can always hire one or two players to help. It would work best if there are a guaranteed prize such as world locks.

Secondly, prepare in advanced. What I meant by that is having a huge stock of blocks and platforms that you want to put in a world. This is where things get tricky. The usual one type block will eventually bore people out, so I suggest doing a pattern using two or more blocks. You have to make sure that these blocks compliment each other and doesn't over shines each other. A good example is black and white blocks. These two gives a sophisticated look to the world and stands out in both dark and light weather machines.

Furthermore, setting up ways to climb quickly up the layers is strongly suggested. Not only it gives easy access to places where you take long time to reach, but also adds to effiency. Placing mushroom or fire hydrant (types of blocks that bounces you) can allow you to reach high places in an instant.Dropping water buckets can also help, but it decreases your speed.

You might think building farms is technical and requires a high expertise. NO! We all can make amazing farms that aren't just for show, but for our uses. I believe that if you put all of your hardwork in it, you can* make perfect farms.
