They are not random, on the first day of each winterfest, Growch's heart size'll be 0, and increases every 1000000 Wintergifts fed to him. (That's a heck load, I don't even know how can it be so fast obtained by the Growtopians), 1000 per % and there are 10 Heart Sizes, Each yielding new items.
