A little white-out, a little scribbling, and voila, you'll have a new name! Use this item to change your GrowID permanently. Can only be used once every 60 days. Requires a GrowID. Is consumed when used.

The Birth Certificate is an unsplicable consumable which was added on December 6, 2013.
Function
Consuming a Birth Certificate changes the user's GrowID. The item gives the Recently Name-Changed mod, which lasts for 60 days and prevents the player from using another Birth Certificate until the mod expires.

Trivia
- As part of Player Appreciation Week 2019, the duration of the Recently Name-Changed mod was increased to 60 days instead of 30.
- As part of Player Appreciation Week 2020, players under the age of 13 can no longer use a Birth Certificate to change their GrowIDs. This change was made in order to comply with statutory law.[1]
- As part of Player Appreciation Week 2021, the Birth Certificate was removed from the Growtopia Store and now can be purchased from Locke for 15 World Locks.
- The Birth Certificate's store description used to be "Tired of being who you are? By forging a new birth certificate, you can change your GrowID! The Birth Certificate will be consumed when used. This item only works if you have a GrowID, and you can only use one every 60 days, so you're not confusing everybody.".
