Template:ItemOldA Fossil is an item added during the Growassic Park update. It is obtainable from smashing a Fossil Rock, or other rock-like objects that fossils can spawn in including Deep Rocks, Boulders, Mars Rocks, and Asteroids.
You will need a Rock Hammer and a Rock Chisel. To extract a fossil form a rock, equip the Rock Hammer. Tap the rock slowly until you get the message, "I unearthed a fossil!". This hit number will vary. Tap the extracted fossil with a Rock Chisel until it breaks. A fossil will drop.
The fossil can be used in a Fossil Prep Station to extract items out of the fossil.
If a Fossil Brush is used on a Fossil which has just dropped out of a Fossil Rock, it will give a Polished Fossil.
