The Silkworm was an item added on February 1, 2016. It costs 500 Gems in the Growtopia store.
The Silkworm is the first pet in Growtopia, it comes in many different types of colors. When you place the Silkworm, it will be of a random colour.
A Silkworm will lay 1-10 Silk Thread once a day once it reached Maturation (Takes one day). You can change it's color by using consummables like Tomatos, grass or Blueberries. If the color of the Silkworm is pure, it will lay 1-10 Silk Thread of the corresponding color.
If the Silkworm do not have a pure color, it will lay a Fall sick, Grey Silk Threads.
If you feed the Silkworm too much food or liquid, it will say "Stuffed full!" You can also use items like wood blocks and dirtto put on your silkworm until it is harvested.
If the Silkworm is Thirsty, use Water Buckets, Coffee, or Milk to remove the status.
A Silkworm will become Sick after few hours if they have the Hungry, or Thirsty status. If it becomes sick, you will have to use a Tomato to cure it. If not, the Silkworm will die.
A Silkworm will live for a maximum of 20 days, but some glitches show death at 50-75 days.
Giving it an inappropriate name will result in the worm being broken by Seth.
Note : Milk is a good way to feed a worm. It will remove both Thirsty and Hungry status, but changes the color of the Silkworm to White.
