Broadcasting is one of the tools in Growtopia. Broadcasts have a 15 second cooldown time period. /Radio hides all players' broadcasts.
Feb 14th: We've doubled the price of broadcasts to help cut broadcast frequency:
-BROADCASTS: Price to /broadcast is now 300 Gems instead of 150, /sb price also adjusted to match (goal: less sb activity)
Requirements for Broadcasts
ALL Broadcasts
- Requires level 20+ or supporter rank.
Broadcast
- 300 Gems
Super Broadcast
- Costs 13882 gem per 3.33 people (depends on the amount o players online). Previously costed 1 gem per 5 people.
Custom Broadcast
- Costs 600 gem per 3.33 people (Minimum: 1001). Previously costed 1 gem per 5 people.
Type of Broadcasts
Broadcast
A broadcast is done by doing /broadcast <message> or /bc "<message>" works for longer messages. This will send your message to 1000 random people for 150 gems, it means you are paying 1.50 gem per 10 people. This is useful when you have a new world and you want to advertise.
Super Broadcast
A super broadcast is done by doing /sb <message>, at a cost of 1 gem per 3.33 people. This will send the broadcast to every online player.
Custom Broadcast
This is done by typing /cb <number of players> <message>, at a cost of 1 gem per 3.33 people. The mininum amount of people you could custom broadcast to is 1001.
Super Duper Broadcast
Super Duper Broadcasts are done by typing /sdb , for the price of 50 Growtokens. This was disabled after P.A.W 2014 due to server issues and being annoying.
What not to broadcast.
As stated in the rules, you aren't allowed to broadcast about drop games, trust tests, casinos, and other betting games. Doing so will get you punished.

Other things you shouldn't broadcast are:
- Lying about mods being in your world when they're not will get you punished.
- Faking official Growtopia system messages will get you punished. (See image below for reference)
- Broadcasting from an inappropriate World Name. Doing so will get the world NUKED! (See image below for reference)
- Broadcast to spam /msg other players.
- Using broadcast to encourage other players to hack gets you punished. (See image below for reference)
