Broadcasting is one of the tools in Growtopia. Broadcasts have a 15 second cooldown time period. /Radio hides all players' broadcasts.
Feb 29th: BALANCE PATCH! Today we've made the following minor adjustments to the game:
-BROADCASTS: Price to /broadcast is now 150 Gems instead of 100, /sb price also adjusted to match (goal: less ab activity)
Requirements for Broadcasts
ALL Broadcasts
- Requires level 20+ or supporter rank.
Broadcast
- 150 Gems
Super Broadcast
- At least 200 gems (depends on players online) (Note that this is not true as of Feb 29th)
Custom Broadcast
- Costs 1 gem per 5 people. Minimum people: 1001. (Note that this is not true as of Feb 29th)
Type of Broadcasts
Broadcast
A broadcast is done by doing /broadcast <message> or /bc "<message>" works for longer messages. This will send your message to 1000 random people for 100 gems, it means you are paying 1 gem per 10 people. This is useful when you have a new world and you want to advertise.
Super Broadcast
A super broadcast is done by doing /sb <message>, at a cost of 1 gem per 5 people. Will send your message to online Growtopians.
Custom Broadcast
This is done by typing /cb <number of players> <message>, at a cost of 1 gem per 5 people. Requires to broadcast at least for 1001 people.
What NOT to broadcast
As stated in the Growtopian Gazette, you aren't allowed to broadcast about drop games, trust tests, casinos, and other betting games. This will result in a warning and an eventual ban. You are placing yourself at a higher risk of being banned when you do /sb than when you do /broadcast.

You shouldn't also broadcast or SB about a mod in your world if a moderator isn't there. Doing so will get you duct-taped, because you're lying and trying to get Growtokens.
