Thermonuclear Blast was added during Anniversary Week 2014. It completely clears a new world, removing all the Dirt, Cave Background, Rock and Lava, leaving only the Bedrock and the White Door at the bottom left corner of the world. Unlike other Blasted Worlds, it does not come with a special background or weather.
