The Death Ray can be obtained from the Mad Science Kit. The Death Ray is a wearbale item which goes onto your arm, its mod is that it allows a player to destroy blocks quicker than normal (Same as the Cybernetic Arm)
An update telling us what is coming up has said on the next update - the 4th of august, that the Death Ray will shoot actually shoot lasers.
