- The Zeta Reticulant Mask is based on the Grey aliens—also known as Zeta Reticulans—whom are claimed to have come from the Zeta Reticuli star system, hence the name. Over the past century, the Zeta Reticulans have emerged as an archetypal image of an intelligent nonhuman creature and extraterrestrial life in general, thus inspiring various alien designs in pop culture.
- Both the Zeta Reticulant Mask and Pleiadian Star Ship are sponsored by the player Pleiadian, who claimed to have seen hundreds of UFO sightings. The player alleged that those were potential sightings of a group benevolent extraterrestrials called the Pleiadians, thus inspiring their in-game name.[1]
