The Monster Nian is an unobtainable non-solid NPC foreground block which was added as part of Lunar New Year 2023 on January 21, 2023.

Function

The Monster Nian is the monster you meet after completing REALMOFNIAN world, that was added in the Lunar New Year 2023 update. After completing the world you use a Chinese Firework on it. After using a Chinese Firework on it you will get a prize (with a slight chance to get two if you are wearing a Draconic item).

If enough players use Chinese Fireworks a bar fills up and the Nian gets scared away. After the Nian gets scared away, it disappears for 3 hours. During the 3 hours the Lunar Chest appears in the store for 25,000 gems.
