When equipped, the Pet Blood Dragon grants the Punch Damage : Blood Dragon Pet mod, which allows the player to break blocks faster. Additionally, it summons a blood dragon pet which follows the player around and changes its appearance whenever the player punches, moves, or becomes stationary.

Trivia

The Pet Blood Dragon is based on the titular hostile creatures found in the first-person shooter Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which was developed by Ubisoft Montreal.
- The color-changing behavior of the pet is based on how Blood Dragons would indicate their mood visually with their bio-luminescent skin; green means that it is in a passive state, yellow means that it has been agitated, while red means it has fully become enraged.
During UbiWeek 2022, the Pet Blood Dragon could be obtained using a Geiger Counter. As of UbiWeek 2023, the Pet Blood Dragon is only obtainable from UbiCrates.
