When equipped, the Mega-Hooky Vest grants the Big Catch: Mega-Hooky Vest mod, giving the player an approximately 4% chance of receiving double the fish size, with a message saying, "You pull a bigger hook from your vest and catch a bigger fish!"
The Mega-Hooky Vest does not grant the ability to catch fish that weigh beyond the weight capacity of the bait used.
