Hello UnderAverage,

I've been a Content Moderator since January 1st of 2017 (Wow, a year and 4 months already...) I would say that being a content mod is pretty easy. I'm a freshman with all honors classes and don't play growtopia every day. I log on the game about three or four times a week, or more if there's an event. I'm on the wikia about 10-15 minutes every day, or longer if I have time.

As for pros and cons, I would say these things:

Pros: I honestly don't know. I guess people are bound to respect you? It shows that you are definitely dedicated to the art of keeping other people informed. Also, as a moderator people are less likely to criticize or question your edits.

Cons:Even as you slowly grow out of the age to play growtopia, you're still slightly expected to know what's going on in the game. More to the Wikia, you often gotta watch what you say/comment/edit. Your edits should be top quality and you better watch your comments!

Gee, looking at my answers I'm not so sure if I answered your questions. To make it simple, "Mods" don't really have anymore powers (as I know) then a regular editor, and the basics are as you said, "Dedication".
