Guilds were added on April 1st, 2018. It may be an April Fool's Day Joke. Please refer to Growtopia's Twitter Account.

Only Supporters and Super Supporters can create a guild.
For Supporters, it costs 200,000 gems to start a guild.
When the guild is created, a guild lock replaces the world lock. The world lock is returned to your inventory.
What's the Point?
Guilds compete in the Guild leaderboard.
Within a guild, the top scoring players will earn rewards such as Guild Potions.
