February 9th: Valentine's Week! Love is in the air - in every tree I grow around! Dear Growtopians, it's Valentine's Week! That precious time when true love blooms, secret admirers reveal their feelings, and blocks - not hearts - are broken! To celebrate, we've added lots of romantic new items, plus the chance to spread the love with Valentine's cards! Together, we can bring joy to the hearts of every Growtopian! Please note that, in order to reduce the spam level, we have increased the prices of the Megaphone from Locke and the /sb and /cb commands. The broadcast cool down time has also been increased. Every year, on the day of Valentine's, there is a special event known as Valentine's Week.
Previously, Heartstone used to spawn in "well loved" worlds which replaced rocks instead. Later, due to abuse of rocks, Golden Booty Chests would spawn randomly in any "well loved" world. As of 2017, Golden Booty Chests are now given out in a special event called "Share The Love" where everybody in the world is given a Golden Booty Chest. Hamumu has stated that code has been written to prevent multiple accounts and players AFKing.
Valentine's Goodies
The Valentine's Goodies Pack is a pack only available during Valentine's Week. It costs 5,000 Gems and gives the same prizes as smashing five Golden Booty Chests.
As of 2013, the Valentine's Goodies pack cost 200 gems but only gave one item. In 2014, it was increased to 1,000 gems but gave five items instead. In 2015, it was increased to 5,000 gems but still gave 5 items.
2013
Valentine's Week 2013 was the first ever Valentine's Week event. Players could obtain Heartstone from Rocks which turned into it when found in "well loved" worlds. New items include:

In 2014, the Golden Heart Crystal was introduced, allowing players to create golden Valentine's Week items. New items include:

In 2015, some new items were introduced and the Valentine's Goodies were increased to 5,000 gems each.
2016
In 2016, Heartstones no longer naturally formed and were replaced with Golden Booty Chests.

Take a break and party, don't worry about doing any fancy building. |
In 2017, Golden Booty Chests no longer formed in "well loved" worlds but had to be obtained through the Share The Love special event.
