Ghost sharks are added in 2016 and replaces all normal ghosts when Growganoth is available. You don't need Spectral Goggles to see them, but you will only see them faintly, wearing the Spectral Goggles will allow you to see them clearly. They will kill any player that they come into contact with and say one of two things when they kill you: "CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP" or "GHOST SHARK ATTACK!"
Catching Ghost Sharks will give you the normal Ghost-In-A-Jar.
