The Butterfly Leash is a clothing item which is worn on the player's hand. When equipped, a butterfly appears and flies around the player.
The leash has an insanely low chance of falling out when breaking Grass, Sugarcane, Wheat, Tomato, Bush, Poppy, Rose, or Daisy or harvesting their trees.

Additional Info
It will be unlikely to attempt to mass produce Butterfly Leashes, mainly because only 3 of the items that do drop it (Grass, Wheat and Sugarcane) are farmable at the same time.
