The Wooden Platform is a tile which is solid on top, but passable when approached from anywhere else. You can jump through them, but unlike most games, you can't fall off them. If you place two Wooden Platforms next to each other, they will connect with each other creating a continous pattern.

The pricing of Wooden Platforms is one of the controversial issues. The materials used to splice 200 trees can be bought for 2 World Locks, then their fruit can be sold at 200 blocks for a World Lock. That means on average, you'll get about 5 World Locks, minus the 2 invested on the plan, means that you'll earn an infinite supply of World Locks, which may be considered unpractical.
