The Demented Cowl is an unsplicable hair item which was added as part of Halloween Week 2017.

Function

Equipping a Demented Cowl protects the player from Looming Shadows. When the player stands on one, it will not kill the player; instead, it will add an effect to the dark inner part of the hood, ranging from a purple skull to a red eye. The Demented Cowl, however, does not protect the player from other types of looming deadly blocks.
