| The mysterious rarity 100 item! |
The Crystal Block is a rare item with rarity 100. It is ONLY obtainable through a special event, where the Crystal Seed spawns and players in the world are given 30 seconds to find it before it disappears, or by compacting any type of clothing spliced with crystal seed in a Clothing Compactor.
In the very early days of Growtopia, the Crystal Block was accidentally made obtainable through the Rare Seed Pack. It was then removed from the pack, making the item extremely rare at the time. Due to its complete inaccessibility, until the Crystal Seed special event was eventually added on March 13, 2013.
This block can be spliced with Golden Block to create a Diamond Ring, Neon Lights to create Growsabers, Acid seed to create Emerald Block, and Dreamstone Seed to create the Ruby Block.
On the 18th of March 2013, a server update included a tweak that updated the Crystal Block's appearance to make it more differentiated from the Glass Block [1]. The design is credited to EX-Moderator meow who posted the graphic on the forums[2].
