The Adventure Idol Gate is open or closed depending on whether a player has placed an Adventure Item - Golden Idol on an Adventure Pedestal or not. If they have, depending on whether the gate is open or closed, the gate will reverse (open to shut or shut to open). It was added during The Adventure Pack Strikes Back! update.
