The Item Of The Month (IOTM) was implemented into the game on 2nd of March 2017.
Every month, a limited item is made available in the Growtopia Store, where it can be bought for a certain amount of Gems. The Item Of The Month of March, April, May, and June of 2017 all cost 100,000 Gems. Since July 2017, the price for the IOTM rose to 200,000 Gems to increase their value. The item is only available in the store for one month, and once it is taken out of the store, it can never be obtained again.
Some of the items were sponsored by players, such as the Zraei's Dragoscarf and the Kudo's Carriage. These items were suggested by their respective players who have completed all the Epic Quests.

WARNING: Due to the Ubisoft Staff's trailers of next IOTMs being released late in the month (Example: March 2018's IOTM Trailer being released in late February), players can take advantage of making fake worlds for fake IOTMs to make money unfairly by World Scamming. As an example:
Player 1 makes a world for the fake Apple Taco Super-Duper Extremo Hat IOTM. It's an unfinished trade world, only World Locked and with a Bulletin Board. This Bulletin Board contains fake offers (made by friends or Alternate Accounts) for the world, only to encourage buying the fake world. Player 2 is baited into buying the world, through owner pressure and seemingly a great opportunity to make money. Player 2 buys the world for "cheap", in which the world is worth nothing later. Beware of this scam, as it is recommended that one does not buy an IOTM Trade World until it has been confirmed and released.
