This box is made of gasoline-soaked balsa wood. It's a really bad design. If it gets lit on fire, it will burn up instantly. A few select items can be tempered by fire though. Perhaps you could store them inside and see what happens when it burns?

id:Highly Combustible BoxThe Highly Combustible Box is an item which acts like a special chest. It is obtained by putting out 100 fires.

The item can be used like a chest to store items, however, also acts like a Mystery Pinata, allowing players to drop specific items inside and when set on fire, can result in new items. After exploding, a Combusted Box will be left can be broken by anybody but the item itself cannot be obtained.

NOTE: If set on fire, any player is allowed to pick up the items inside the box, provided that they can reach the area.
