The Cape of Shadows is a back item and was added on Cinco De Mayo Week 2015.
It can be obtained by dropping any cape and placing a Mystery Pinata on top of it. However, the capes obtained from defeating Super Villains from Crime Waves do not work.
When the player respawns, the animation would be replaced by a black swirling vortex, similar to the Nightmare Devil Wings. This item also causes shadows of the player to appear when he or she jumps, similar to the effect that the Doppelganger Potion gives.
