Regular Glitches

World Replacement Glitch

Note: This is intentional and therefore not an appropriate glitch

If you try to go to a world with a bad word in the name, It will go to the world DISNEYLAND. This is because the developers won't allow any bad world names in the game.

World Name via Door Glitch

Note: This is also intentional, and therefore not a glitch.

Put a door and make the target world SETH or HAMUMU. The door will say "The door cannot open to such an awesome place!" because those worlds were intentionally locked by the developers.

Message Glitch

Note: Make sure you spelled it correctly and made your text black, or else it won't work. Alternatively, try the word 'hitch'.

First go to Options, then Parental Controls and make sure the "Filter inappropriate language" choice is checked. Now make your text black (`b) and type Kitchen. The word will come out as "`#?@!en" because it thought you wrote a bad word. However, if you leave "Filter inappropriate language" off, you will see the message normally.

Feet Movement Glitch

Note: It's more noticeable if you remove your shoes. It's suggested in another person's world or a cleared world to avoid unnecessary grief.

First, run in any direction. While doing that, punch anything. If you can see very well, you will notice the feet are stuck in their position and are not moving up and down like they're supposed to.

Dragon Gate Glitch

Note: This is appropriate with another user's world. Most mini-game worlds work too.

Go inside a Dragon Gate, then use Wrench on it. The gate will close magically and you won't die until the character stops speaking. This only works if you do not have access to the world.

E-Z Cook Oven Glitch

Note: This was tested with only the E-Z Cook Oven and not with any other Chemical Combiners. This glitch is suggested to be done in PC.

Start by opening the E-Z Cook Oven. While nothing is inside, punch it while you move right into the oven. You will not die, but you will be relocated to the last position you were in before you step into the oven, as if the oven pushed you back. However, if you punch the oven while you're still inside and try to step away, you will die.

Item Duplication Glitch

Note: The duplicated items are not permanent and will be lost after logging out. They cannot be placed, dropped, or traded.

Drop something then press Enter and exit the world immediately after dropping.

Platform-Exclusive Glitches

Run Glitch (PC)

Note: If you want to stop running, just punch a block or press the same key.

Hold the Left or Right key, then attend to another window. You will now run endlessly into the direction that you originally went, even when you respawn.

Debug Mode Glitch (PC)

Note: Debug mode glitches are now removed.

By typing CTRL + F, you will see your game's FPS, and your inventory will be filled with items, such as blue crystals, wooden backgrounds etc, and you will have faster movement and faster punches. However, it would get you banned for 3 days eventually for "speed hacking". It was fixed and removed on January 2015.

Flying Glitch (Mobile)

Note: You can't see yourself flying, only others can see.

Try to fall down and while doing so, press the home button to suspend the app. Other people can see you still in the air! After going back to the still running app, you will be disconnected and other people will see you as if you left.

Patched Glitches

2:30 Growtopia Time (Patched)

Note: Growtopia Time is is UTC+9, which is the same time as Tokyo or Seoul.

Plant a tree at exactly 2:30, then the tree will have 4 blocks in it.

Carnival ID Glitch (Patched)

Note: This is not really a glitch. This doesn't work as the door IDs have already been changed.

There was a time that you can enter the Carnival when it was closed by an ID. The IDs were CHN870-CHN876. People went to carnival because they knew the IDs. However, the games do not work and you could only access the Ringmaster. It was caused by a user that logged on as a moderator and could see the door ID. That moderator was demoted and the door ID was later changed by an update that came.
