The Black Crystal Dragon is an unsplicable hand item which was added as part of the Crystals update on January 20, 2015.

Function

You command a mighty (dark) dragon!

Your dragon has abandoned you.

When equipped, the Black Crystal Dragon grants the Dragonborn mod, which allows the player to break blocks faster and knock back other players further. Additioanlly, it spawns a black dragon that follows the player around, which also replaces the player's punching animation with black shards.

Trivia

Successfully hatching a Black Crystal Dragon will complete an Epic Quest.
