first you need the 8 surrounding blocks to be totally empty (you'll see why.) so crystal in the center, floating in air. when you place 5 together following the recipes below and you wrench it, it will say the crystal is not in sync with the elements you need fire chi,air chi,earth chi and water chi.
When you use info on any item except clothes, they will have one of the four chi icons: fire air water or earth.
the higher the rarity the less of it you need to put around the crystal to sync it with the elements.
Don't put items with too high or low a rarity anything above 50 rarity is wasteful, anything under rarity 15 is useless. when you balance it(it might take a while) you wrench it to check if it says you can tap it, tap it and you should be done.

Here are some hints: When you wrench the placed crystal it would say the crystal sings of things that is actually a hint.
Crimson Sun means you can put a red crystal on it.
Azure Ocean means blue crystal.
Emerald Fields mean green crystal
Alabaster Clouds mean white
Deepest Night means black
