Crappy sign is a crappy looking sign made from Dirt and Door.

Most people says that this is the easiest sign to make - As you only need Dirt and Cave Background. The two makes Doors - and you can put another dirt seed if you have a door seed to make it. This has been somewhat proven if the person (Preferably a newbie) is not able to farm rocks at the moment.
