The Legendary Wizard is an NPC which was released in the Legendary Update on the 22nd of August, 2014. Players need to be Level 40 or above to go on a Legendary Quest. 

The Legendary Wizard is no longer tradeable in worlds and attempting to break the lock in the world where the Legendary Wizard is will have a message appear saying "Can't smash the World Lock while Untradable blocks exist!"
