It can be made by combining 6 Balance Mooncakes, 4 Longevity Mooncakes, and 4 Prosperity Mooncakes in a Chemical Combiner. It is also distributed through a special event during the holiday, in which three of them spawn in a world and players are given 30 seconds to collect them.
In game description:
"This sweet steamed rice cake is said to lead to a bright future for whoever eats it. Eat up! You can also mix it with Mooncakes in a Laboratory or E-Z Cook Oven to create special Harvest Festival items."
This item can't be spliced.
This item never drops any seeds.
History
On the first Harvest Festival in 2013, Songpyeons were distributed as a rare drop from harvesting trees. Songpyeons were also distributed through in-app purchases, rewarding players with one per 1,000 Gems purchased.
2014's Harvest Festival changed the way the item was obtained. The rare drop from trees was instead the new Balance Mooncakes, which would be used in the Songpyeon's new recipe. As well, the item was not given out with Gem purchases this year. Btw Hekana is awesome.
