| Yep, it's dirt. |
Dirt is one of the four basic, and extremely common blocks with a rarity of 1 (along with Rock, Cave Background, and Lava). It's a seed where most other blocks are essentially spliced from, making it an important element in Growtopia. This Item cannot be spliced. It can be found in newly created worlds, and from Harvest Moon Blast. Other Blasted Worlds don't spawn dirt when you create them. Placing two dirt blocks next to each other will cause them to join, creating a continuous pattern. When you recycle it you can get from 0 to 1 gem each. Dirt is so popular people have sponsored items such as BLYoshi's Free Dirt and Muddy Pants. It has small chance to drop Wiggly Worm.
This item can't be spliced.

Trivia
- This block is normally the very first block new players will mine, due to it's commonness as well as it can be found in any new world, without the use of a blast.
- As a tribute to dirt, the Muddy Pants were created (By Hamumu as no-one else had the guts), spawning a pet dirt that follows you around. This item can be bought for 125 Growtokens in the store.
- During WinterFest, the green layer of the dirt turns white as if snow has covered the top of the dirt.
- The Sand Block, Martian Soil Block and the Deep Sand Blocks are just re-coloured versions of dirt.
- Breaking Dirt and Harvesting Dirt Trees have a small chance to drop a Wiggly Worm.
- Lots of items are based on dirt such as the Muddy Pants and BLYoshi's Free Dirt Gun.
