• The Zeta Reticulant Mask is based on the Grey aliens—also known as Zeta Reticulans—whom are claimed to have come from the Zeta Reticuli star system, hence the name. Over the past century, these aliens have emerged as an archetypal image of intelligent nonhuman creatures and extraterrestrial life in general, thus inspiring various alien designs in pop culture.
• Both the Zeta Reticulant Mask and Pleiadian Star Ship are sponsored by the player Pleiadian, who claimed to have seen hundreds of UFO sightings. Pleiadian alleged that those were potential sightings of benevolent extraterrestrials called the Pleiadians, thus inspiring the player's in-game name.
• The description of the Zeta Reticulant Mask alludes to a comedic trope in which aliens abduct human beings against their will and insert probing devices into their victims' rectal orifice.
