The Ancestral Lens of Riches is an artifact added during the Hidden Riches update. It has a 5% chance of making blocks drop extra gems. The chance increases for every additional level of upgrade.

Trivia

The item used to be able to make the Toxic Waste Barrel drop up to 500 gems, before it was patched shortly after the update came out.
Wearing the Monocle with an upgraded Ancestral Lens of Riches will give the Monocle special effects, depending on the upgrade level of the item.
Once Ancestral Lens Of Riches is upgraded, it will become an untradeable item.
