The Dark Cave Background is a background tile, introduced during the Spelunkorama! update. It hides every item placed on the same tile, unless a player is close to it, is using a clothing item which provides light (such as Flashlight or Night Vision Goggles) or non-solid blocks which provide light (such as Torches and Lava Lamps. They are commonly found in Cave Blasted worlds.

Trivia

• Placing 2 Dark Cave Backgrounds next to each other will cause them to connect, thus creating a continuous pattern.
• The /renderworld command will not show any Dark Cave Backgrounds.
• The sprite of Dark Cave Background is a recolor of Cave Background's along with Monochromatic Cave Background.
