In game description:
"This is a broken piece of an axe blade. Its not very high quality, perhaps it could be tempered."
It can be obtained by using a Lumber Axe on a Growch's Tree in the Growch world , the Axe will shatter into 1 to 4 pieces of Axe Fragment
If an axe fragment is placed inside a highly combustible box and is lit by a pocket lighter (or Eldrich flame) the fragment will become a Tempered axe fragment.
