Gems are usually used to buy various items in the store. But there are also other uses for the gems.

One example are Broadcasts. You can use 100 gems for a normal broadcast or a Super Broadcast where price changes with the amount of people on. But be informed, you will NOT be able to use these features unless you're level 20 or a supporter. Also you can hack gems using this site
