Properties

This item can be placed in two directions, depending on the direction you're facing.
This item never drops any seeds.
This item can't be destroyed - smashing it will return it to your backpack if you have room!

The Heart Monitor is an unsplicable non-solid block which was added along with the Surgical Kit. This item can only be obtained from purchasing the Surgical Kit.

When placed, the online/offline status of the player who placed it down will be displayed on it.

Trivia

Heart Monitor's function to detect whether the player is online or not is a reference to actual heart monitors, which are generally used to detect whether a hospital patient is still alive or not.
Only up to 32 of these can be placed in a world. A message about "wiring concerns" appears when a player tries placing the 33rd.
It takes a while for Heart Monitors to update.
