An administration is required in order to properly facilitate and manage the Growtopia Wiki. Therefore, there is a group of users who constantly moderate the community.

Bureaucrats are one level 'up' from administrators. Bureaucrats only have the ability to manipulate user rights, as well as block and unblock users, so this right is generally used in addition to the administrator group. Although bureaucrats cannot directly revoke another user's bureaucrat status, they can revoke their own.
Bureaucrats have the ability to:
- Grant and revoke Content Moderator and Administrator rights,
- Appoint new bureaucrats,
- Revoke their own bureaucrat status, and
- Revoke a user's bot status in case the bot is malfunctioning.
Administrators
Administrators are trusted users, who are generally chosen based on their contributions, behaviour, and conduct. They have all the privileges that a Content Moderator possesses.
Administrators have the ability to:
- Block users who are vandalising the wiki from performing certain actions,
- Grant and revoke the Chat Moderator and Discussions Moderator rights,
- Edit the wiki's skin, format, and interface, and
- Edit whitelisted MediaWiki pages.
Content Moderators
Content Moderators are users who have additional tools available to moderate specific parts of the community.
Content Moderators have the ability to:
- Delete and move protected pages,
- Delete and move files,
- Restore deleted pages and files,
- Rollback,
- Reupload files, and
- Protect and unprotect pages.
Ex-Staff
Ex-Staff are users who have resigned from the staff team due to various reasons.
