When equipped, the Alien Mind Protector grants the player immunity against Mind Ghosts, but not the other types of ghosts.

The Alien Mind Protector shares this exact ability with the Foil Hat. While the Alien Mind Protector is a hair item, the Foil Hat is a hat item, however.
