The Venus Guytrap is a dangerous block which the player on contact. They are considered extremely farmable by players, as they drop about 5 gems when broken. Because of their one-hit-kill capability, they are used as a hazard in parkour worlds very often.

Possible Reference

Venus Guytraps are a possible reference to Nintendo's famous Mario Bros series. They, like the Pirrana Plants which inspired them, kill the player when touched. This theory supported by the fact that there are other Mario inspired blocks, such as the Mystery Block and Plumbing.
