When equipped, the Serpent Shoulders grants the Punch Range + Punch Damage: Serpent Shoulders mod, which allows the player to punch one tile further and break blocks faster. Additionally, while punching, the serpent heads spit toxic balls alternately.

The Serpent Shoulders is based on Quetzalcoatl, a deity in Aztec mythology whose name comes from the Nahuatl language and means "precious serpent" or "quetzal-feathered serpent".
