Function

You can vaporize bricks more quickly.

When equipped, the Death Ray grants the Death To Blocks! mod, which allows the player to break blocks faster.

Trivia

Contrary to popular belief, the Death Ray does not increase seed drop rate.

It enables the [[Mods|'Death To Blocks!' mod]] when equipped, which lets the player fire red laser beams from it in place of the [[Fist]]. It makes the same sounds, and the beam looks exactly like the [[Cyclopean Visor]], but it doesn't increase the distance in which you can attack. Much like the [[Pickaxe]], the mod also increases the damage done to tiles when breaking them.
