This certificate allows its bearer to access the Mentor System, add new apprentices, and get rewards for their accomplishments! Note that while an apprentice can only have one mentor, a mentor can have many apprentices!

The Mentorship Certificate is an unsplicable consumable which was added as part of the Mentors & Apprentices update on 11 March 2019.

Obtaining

Store

A Mentorship Certificate could be purchased from the Store for 5,000 gems. The Certificate was removed from the Growtopia Store temporarily, it was announced on the forums by Kairos on April 3, 2020. See more here. As of April 9, 2020, the Mentorship Certificate has been removed from the store. The Mentorship certificate serves no purpose and disappears from your inventory upon consumtion.

Function

Consumable

When consumed, this item allows the player to access the Mentor System and have their own apprentices. In order to do so, the player's level needs to be above 20 and the player must have already used the item.

One can wrench another player between Levels 1-3 and select the "Add Apprentice” button to send a request for the player to join their mentorship program. Note that players above Level 3 cannot be added as an apprentice. As a mentor, one can only add 1 apprentice every day and have a maximum of 50 active apprentices at a time.

A Mentor Ticket will be given to one when their apprentice consume their apprentice ticket upon reaching the following level requirements:

Level 1
Level 5
Level 10
Level 20
Level 30

One is able to claim these milestone rewards by helping apprentices reach Level 20 and above. The more apprentices one has, the more milestone rewards they can claim. Simply click on the “Claim” button, and the reward/s will automatically go to one's inventory.

Mystery Reward

As a mentor, one can remove apprentices from the mentorship program. One's own apprentice can also leave the mentorship program if they choose to. However, once one's apprentice have reached Level 30, they will not be able to remove him/her and can only archive the apprentice. Archiving an apprentice removes the apprentice from one's "Active Apprentices List" and allows them to add more.
