On June 11, 2016, the Pet Battles update appeared! It included lots of new items, and the ability to have your pets fight! To start a pet battle, wrench the player you wish to fight, or do /pb <Player name>. To make a battle pet, you will need 40 World Locks, 6 pets that have an element (Earth, air, water, fire), a [[Battle Pet Cage]], a [[Battle Leash]], and then wrench the cage, and get started! Note: You need 2 Battle Pets in the same [[Battle Leash]] to battle a player.

It included lots of new items, as well as allowing players to fight each other using pets. To start a pet battle, players can wrench the player they wish to fight, or use the /pb command. To make a battle pet, players will need 40 World Locks, 6 pets that have an element (Earth, air, water, fire, hit INFO to see), a Battle Pet Cage, a Battle Leash, and then wrench the cage, and get started! Note: 2 Battle Pets are required in the same Battle Leash in order to battle a player. Players can also use a Pet Trainer Whistle to call a Pet Trainer, battle it to attempt to obtain Pet Trainer Medals which can be traded in for other items.

Pet Trainer Summoned when using a Pet Trainer Whistle. Not actually obtainable in the backpack.
Pet Trainer Medal Obtained from defeating a Pet Trainer.
Whale Block 5 can be purchased from Pet Trainer for Pet Trainer Medal (x1).
Pet Trainer Cap 1 can be purchased from Pet Trainer for Pet Trainer Medal (x5).
Genetic Resequencer 1 can be purchased from Pet Trainer for Pet Trainer Medal (x10).
Buckle Design 1 can be purchased from Pet Trainer for Pet Trainer Medal (x15).
CRISPR Technology 1 can be purchased from Pet Trainer for Pet Trainer Medal (x20).
Thinking Cap 1 can be purchased from Pet Trainer for Pet Trainer Medal (x50).
Phlogiston 1 can be purchased from Pet Trainer for Pet Trainer Medal (x100).
Burnt Leather 1 can be dropped for every:
•    Cow (×1)
burnt in a Highly Combustible Box.
Iron Buckle 1 can be obtained from forging:
•    Deep Iron Ingot (×100)
→   Uses up Buckle Design in the player's inventory.
Silkworm Leash 1 can be obtained from sewing:
•    Silk Bolt - Red
•    Silk Bolt - Grey (using a(n) Locking Stitch)
•    Silk Bolt - Black (using a(n) Saddle Stitch)
Silkworm Saddle 1 can be dropped from combining:
•    Burnt Leather (×4)
•    Iron Buckle (×1)
•    Silkworm Leash (×1)
in any Chemical Combiner.
